IB Security Assistant Exam Pattern 2025
Tier I: Objective CBT (100 marks, 1 hour): 100 multiple-choice questions (20 from each of the following categories: general awareness, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English, and general studies); incorrect answers result in a penalty of ¼ mark.
Tier II: Descriptive Test (one hour, fifty marks): In addition to a spoken ability test for SA applicants (10 marks), you must translate a 500-word passage between English and the local tongue (40 marks).
Tier III: Interview/Personality Test (50 points): Evaluates communication and general appropriateness.
Tier I + Tier II + Tier III = 200 total selection marks. Keep in mind that Tier II only requires qualifying marks (~20/50), making it qualifying in nature.
